Wei-Shine Chien

External Representative, Section 1, Class of 2014

Wei-Shine Chien is the Manager of Plant Operations for Kingston Technology where he oversees the manpower, equipment and facility of its U.S. manufacturing site. During his time at Kingston, he has completed expatriate assignments in two overseas offices (Shanghai and Taiwan) and worked closely with many Fortune 500 customers. He graduated from the University of Southern California in 2002 with a BS in Business Administration. Since graduation, he has spent a great deal of time networking with alumni in both Asia and Southern California. Outside of work and school, Wei-Shine loves spending time with his family, staying in top physical shape, playing golf, and owning the microphone at his local karaoke club.

 

Brandon Flora

Brandon Flora completed his BS in Marketing Management at Virginia Tech in 2006. After realizing he did not want a career in sales, Brandon left the DC metro area for beautiful San Diego over four years ago and hasn’t looked back since. Brandon has spent these past four years in the defense industry working for a small, boutique contractor before coming to Qualcomm’s Government Technologies division almost two years ago. Here, Brandon is a Program Manager on various federal contracts concentrating his responsibilities on financial planning and analysis, resource management, scheduling and supporting bid and proposal efforts. Brandon has valued the exposure and professional experience his roles have given him, but he is now currently looking for a career shift into Corporate Finance and Strategy in Los Angeles. Not having TV for the past three years (by choice) has kept Brandon on his toes in order to entertain himself. He enjoys all types of exercise and work outs, sports, snowboarding, the beach, spending time with friends, photography and art, cooking and discovering new music.

 
 

Brian Sterz

Brian Sterz has nearly 10 years of experience in the investment management industry which has included derivatives trading, institutional investment consulting, and for the past four years, fixed income portfolio management at EP Wealth Advisors in Los Angeles. Brian attained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation while working at Callan Associates, an investment consulting firm in San Francisco, after graduating from UC Berkeley. He completed an Ironman Triathlon as a member of Team-In-Training, while fundraising to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Brian was born in Santa Monica.

 
 

Michael Klausler

External Representative, Section 2, Class of 2014

Michael A. Klausler graduated from UCSB with dual degrees in Philosophy and Law & Society with Honors. After graduating, he moved to upstate New York where he earned his MPA from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs as a Dean’s Professional Scholar. While in New York, Michael served in Senator Clinton’s Central NY Office as its Deputy Director; as a representative of the Senator, he had the privilege of working with local elected officials, executive directors of local agencies and non-profit organizations, and the good people of Central New York. In 2009, Michael returned to California to secure a career with local government. He spent some time assisting the City of Goleta as it established policies and developed its strategic plan. He is currently exploring options within the private sector, and taking every opportunity he can to participate in FEMBA events, and maximize his experience at Anderson. In his spare time he enjoys playing poker with friends, football and fires on the beach, trips up to State Street in Santa Barbara, and tinkering (unsuccessfully) with his fantasy football lineup.

 
 

Liam Leonard

Liam Leonard received his B.A. in Economics from Yale University. After graduation, he came back to his hometown of Southern California to begin his career with Nestlé S.A. in Glendale. Currently a Purchasing Manger for the Marketing category, Liam is responsible for sourcing media and advertising services for Nestlé’s North American brands in addition to leading the media and advertising procurement teams across Central and South America. In his spare time, Liam enjoys playing soccer, spending time with family and friends, learning foreign languages, and traveling the world.

 
 

Rish Aneja

Rish Aneja graduated in 2001 from Thapar University in India with a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering. Rish started his career at a software start-up and after the company went bust, Rish moved to Bangalore to work for an IT Consulting company advising clients on managing IT portfolios and reducing cost overheads. The job brought him to Boston and his love for everything Boston began. After a brief stint in Virginia, Rish moved back to Boston to join Sun Life Financial in business process and change management advisory role. Rish resisted the idea of pursuing job opportunities in Los Angeles despite pressure from then girlfriend and now wife. However, that changed on a fateful snowy day during Boston winter that led him to abandon his car on the freeway and hitchhike home. On October 9, 2008, the day Dow went down by nearly 700 points, Rish accepted a job offer from Strategic Services practice of CSC Consulting as a Management Consultant focusing on business operations, finance and IT Strategy and moved to Los Angeles. In his spare time, Rish likes hiking, trying new restaurants and working out.

 
 

Nisha Bhatia

External Representative, Section 3, Class of 2014

Nisha Bhatia is a part of the $2.1 Billion Supply Chain team with Warner Bros’ Strategic Sourcing group, where she is primarily in charge of negotiating on behalf of the studio for various categories such as Manufacturing, Freight, Distribution and Digital Distribution Services. Apart from negotiating, Nisha's role also involves issuing Request for Proposals, building price models and helping internal business units formulate requirements for suppliers. Nisha graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering from India and then obtained her Master’s in Industrial Engineering at USC. Prior to Warner Bros, Nisha has worked at Aramark, Smart & Final and Activision mainly in the areas of Supply Chain Analytics and Finance. In her spare time, Nisha tutors homeless children as a volunteer tutor with School on Wheels. She is also an avid groupon-seeker, scrap booker, and tap dancer.

 
 

Linda Tran

Internal Representative, Section 3, Class of 2014

Linda Tran graduated in 2007 from UC Berkeley with a Bachelors in Economics. Linda works for Bank of the West in Risk Management for Commercial Lending as a Portfolio Officer and Senior Auditor. In this function, Linda interacts with an array of people both within and outside of the bank. As a bank auditor, Linda visits companies that the bank lends money to in order to evaluate the validity of the bank’s collateral and effectively acts as the eyes and ears of the bank by observing company performance first hand and talking directly to management and staff.

 
 

Khoa Le

Khoa Le graduated from Cal Poly Pomona, where he completed a double major in Computer Information Systems and Management and Human Resources at Cal Poly Pomona. While at Cal Poly Pomona, Khoa was actively involved with student life. He was the President of MISSA (Management Information Systems Student Association) and External Vice President of VSA (Vietnamese Student Association). Upon graduation, Khoa started his career at Deloitte and Touche, LLP as a consultant in the Enterprise Risk Services group, focusing on IT security and risk management. While at Deloitte, he earned his CISA certification. Khoa joined Mattel Inc. and is currently a Senior Auditor. At Mattel, Khoa uses his open communication and passion for people to break down the stereo type of auditors. In his free time, Khoa can be found on his motorcycle, in a yoga studio, or giving speeches to FEMBAs about upcoming events and Anderson family.

 
   

Elizabeth Newman

Elizabeth Newman leads the automotive display team at Google and is responsible for revenue growth and client adoption of YouTube, Google Display Network, & other Google Owned & Operated properties. Day-to-day, Elizabeth is also the acting sales lead for Fortune 500 automotive accounts in Google's western region, responsible for $20M+ in yearly revenue against growth products. Prior to joining Google, Elizabeth participated in a management training program at American Honda, and was assigned a long-term project in the national advertising group before moving to Google in 2006 (a job she leveraged her professional network to secure!) Elizabeth received a B.A. in English & Political Science from UCLA in 2005. Beyond networking in her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys traveling, wine, Crossfit, cooking, Bruin sports, and running – but mostly, networking.

 
 

Dragos Munteanu

Dragos is a businessman disguised as a scientist. He obtained a M.Sc. from the University of Iowa, and a Ph.D. from USC, both in Computer Science. After graduating he started working for a software company that commercializes the research he has been contributing to as a graduate student. Working in the “real world” made Dragos aware of the importance of shaping research such that it provides business value. Thus, his interests and responsibilities evolved from pure science towards management; and he hopes the MBA experience will enable him to contribute even more to the business side of his research field. Dragos intends to use his scientific training in order to become an accomplished businessman, and his business training in order to shape commercially successful scientific research.

 
 

Doug Longo

Social Representative, Section 4, Class of 2014

Doug began his career as an Associate for Bear Stearns & Co. at its world headquarters in New York City, where he completed a three-year Fixed Income Management Training Program. During the three-year program, Doug gained experience across all credit markets to include corporate, municipal, mortgage-backed and government debt. His ultimate destination was as an Associate on the U.S. Treasury and Agency Security trading desk. In November 2006, Doug joined Bear Stearns’s Century City office and later transitioned to Merrill Lynch in April 2008. With his experience in the fixed income markets, Doug develops and manages a fixed income portfolio with approximately $400 million in assets. Prior to working on Wall Street, Doug was one of the youngest Sergeants in the history of the United States Marine Corps, and was awarded a Navy Achievement Medal for leading his platoon on multiple operations in the Middle East. Doug earned a B.S. in Finance on an academic and athletic scholarship at C.W. Post.
