Women's Business Connection (WBC)

The Women’s Business Connection is a UCLA Anderson School of Management professional club that provides resources to support women in all of the MBA programs and enhances their experience at Anderson. We seek to develop outstanding business leaders and build strong relationships between our 200 members within the program and our thousands of women alumnae. WBC Volunteer Days

The WBC embodies a spirit of service. We have a strong relationship with the Downtown Women’s Center, where members volunteer regularly. The club organizes one to two community service events each quarter.

In 2015-2016, the WBC is additionally focused on building out the pipeline of young women into business school. Proposed events include high school and undergraduate mentorship days to build critical business skills and encourage young women to consider an MBA in the future.

Mentorship Program

The WBC Mentorship Program pairs current MBAs with a mentor in their future industry or field. Throughout the year, WBC hosts a series of cocktail hours, picnics and more formal seminars to bring the mentors and mentees together as a group. In addition, mentors and mentees meet one-on-one throughout the year.

Professional Development Workshops

The WBC hosts workshops for members on a range of tactical topics, including negotiations, managing your personal finances, work/life balance, leadership, how to be a rockstar intern and interview prep.

Admissions Coffee Chats

Admissions coffee chats pair prospective students with current women at Anderson, who speak about their experience in the program and career plans beyond Anderson.

Game Night with Dean Olian

Dean Olian hosts an unforgettable night each year at her home full of games, laughter and good times. The women of WBC are joined by female faculty to play everything from Scattergories to Twister.
