The external representative works with career services and the alumni network to ensure that their section is aware of the resources and events offered by ProMBA Career Services and the Office of Alumni Services. The external representative attends ProMBA Career Services Committee meetings and FEMBA Alumni Relations and Development Committee meetings, represents the FEMBA student body at alumni events and participates in the annual Anderson Affiliates campaign. The external representative should send out at least one section email per month with information on upcoming career services events and deadlines.Internal Representative
The internal representative handles most of their section’s academic and logistical issues, which may include resolving section scheduling conflicts, communicating student concerns to faculty and administration and keeping the section informed of new developments on campus. The social representative plans social and networking events, including after-class happy hours, section lunches/dinners, cultural outings, athletic events and other activities that his or her section is interested in. The social representative should make every effort to ensure that these events appeal to all of their FEMBA peers and is highly encouraged to collaborate with social representatives from other sections and years. The social representative is required to learn and follow the expense reimbursement policy in order to plan the use of their section’s annual social budget. The social representative should send out regular emails with information on upcoming activities.
Katie is the External Representative for Section 1, Class of 2016. Katie grew up in South East Asia and moved to California to attend Pepperdine University for her undergraduate studies. Following graduation she worked for a year in China in order to improve her Chinese language skills and increase her understanding of international business and intercultural communication. Upon returning to the U.S., Katie found success in corporate sales. She currently works in the industrial gas industry negotiating contracts and managing accounts. To keep her life in balance, Katie practices and teaches hot yoga.
Deepak Patil is a Principal Consultant at Oracle, a provider of enterprise software and computer hardware products and services. As a consultant he helps clients implement various Data Analytics Solutions for their businesses, transforming information into insights and then actions. Deepak Patil received his engineering degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from University of Pune, India in 2003. Before moving to USA in 2005, he worked as a Software Engineer at PeopleSoft Corporation (now an Oracle company), Bangalore, India. During FEMBA he wants to explore Management Consulting, Technology Management and Entrepreneurship career paths. He is an active member of Management Consulting Association and High tech Business Association. Deepak lives in Orange County with his wife Kavita and a year old baby boy Vihaan. He loves listening to music, hiking, playing racquetball, and all forms of technology.
Raahul Srinivasan is the 2016 Section 1 Social Representative. Raahul is also an active HTBA director and is a triple bruin, with an undergrad degree in Electrical Engineering with a Biomedical Emphasis, and a Masters in Signal Processing (EE). Following graduating his undergraduate program, Raahul worked for a startup called SayNow which was acquired by Google to run Google Hangouts. Raahul is an analyst/software engineer by day and a magician by night and is seeking to move into a product development manager role over his time at Anderson. Currently, Raahul lives in Mountain View, California and loves playing tennis, performing magic, cooking meals and crafting cocktails for/with his friends.
Sai is a Transportation Engineering Consultant residing in Orange County, CA. He works for Iteris, a traffic management consulting firm based out of Santa Ana, CA. His work profile involves providing efficient traffic management solutions to various cities, counties and states across the US. He has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from BITS, Pilani, India and a Master's from University of Central Florida (UCF). In addition to FEMBA council, he is an active member of the Management Consulting Association. While at Anderson he plans to explore various career opportunities including Human Resources and Management Consulting. In his free time, Sai enjoys to read, watch movies, and try out new restaurants and hanging out with his friends.
Santanu is a software engineering professional based in Los Angeles, California. He works for Stamps.com Inc., El Segundo, an approved and licensed vendor of United States Postal Service, as Software Quality Assurance Manager. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from Bengal Engineering College (D.U.), India. Besides FEMBA council, he is also an active member of Entrepreneur Association. At Anderson, he wants to extend his professional network and equip himself with the required skills to start his Entrepreneurial Venture in the near future. In his free time, Santanu enjoys spending time with his friends, reading technology related articles, watching movies, and exploring process improvement ideas with his wife.
Andrew Kuntjoro is a lifelong Southern California resident. He attended Harvey Mudd College, where he earned his B.S. in Engineering. Andrew currently works for Honeywell Aerospace, where he is a project engineer responsible for environmental control systems development for business jet applications. Andrew is also a member of the Automotive Business Association. Amongst the new experiences and opportunities, Andrew hopes to grow his management skills to complement his technical skillset while at UCLA Anderson.
In addition to his work and studies, Andrew is also a photographer for Photo M.D., which provides event photography and videography services. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys finding new restaurants, archery, and spending time with family and friends.
Dave is currently the Director of Finance at Center Light Films, the production company founded by filmmaker A.J. Goodrich after his historic 2011 walk across America. Prior to moving to LA, Dave worked with a foreign currency hedge fund in New York, eventually serving the role of managing partner. In the early part of his career, Dave served in staff positions with Governor Deval Patrick, at the Clinton Foundation, and in the U.S. Senate office and 2004 Presidential Campaign of (then) Senator John Kerry. Dave received his B.A. at Fordham University where he majored in International Political Economy. He is a proud native of Boston, MA.
As a Production and Financial Analyst, Jordan Hill supports the financial needs of MarVista's ever-growing number of original programs. In this role, Jordan is charged with developing P&L statements, analyzing participations, building film amortization and discounted cash flow models, and managing weekly and monthly cash flow estimates. Jordan supports the corporate finance function in annual budgeting and monthly forecasting. He also provides production accounting services to projects as needed.
Jordan earned his Bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University's Marriott School of Management. Prior to joining MarVista, Jordan worked as a production accountant for independent films and as a production manager for PBS affiliate, KBYU-TV, in Utah. He is currently enrolled as a part-time student at UCLA's Anderson School of Management and expects to graduate with a Master of Business Administration degree in 2016.
Ryan currently serves as the Internal Representative for FEMBA 2016, Section 3. He earned his B.A. in History from UC Irvine in 2005 and then began his career in the mortgage industry as a loan consultant. After quickly progressing to management roles in sales and underwriting, he opened his own retail mortgage operation. In 2007, he joined UTi Worldwide, a global supply chain management and logistics provider, as an IT Business Process Engineer; in 2010, he undertook a new role in the Sales & Marketing department to project manage client-facing bid proposals, design and administrate content repositories, and create internal and external marketing material.
At UCLA Anderson, Ryan is pursuing his MBA with an emphasis on consulting and global management. He also serves as Co-Chair for the FEMBAssador Pre-Admit Recruiting Committee, serves as a Challenge for Charity (C4C) FEMBA 1st Year Director, and belongs to various professional clubs. In his free time, he is an avid marathon runner, plays basketball and golf, and most of all enjoys quality time with family and friends.
Chris Martinez is Assistant Vice President, Portfolio Manager in the equity department of RNC Genter Capital Management. He began his financial services career as an Account Management Analyst where his roles included presenting the firm's strategies to financial advisors, building & maintaining relationships, and prospecting a sales territory. After two years of successfully growing new assets, Chris was promoted to the firm's equity department and began his training to become a portfolio manager. His current responsibilities include macroeconomic & company research, financial modeling, trading, and managing over $275 million in client assets. In 2012, he was designated a member of the firm's Investment Policy Committee and Equity Strategy Group.
Chris has held a variety of leadership positions in the past. From 2011-2012, he served as a board director of the nonprofit APEX (Chair of Special Events, Director of Finance). Last year, he became a StartingBloc Fellow and co-founded SocEnt.LA, a central platform for social innovators in Los Angeles. Additionally, Chris mentors CFA candidates, volunteers his time with the LA Junior Chamber of Commerce's Ready to Learn program, and frequently attends professional events as an active member of the CFA Institute & CFALA.
Chris earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and is a CFA charterholder.
A native to Southern California, Darren attended the University of California, Los Angeles and earned a B.A. in Business-Economics and Biology with a minor in Accounting. He currently works as both an executive compensation consultant and a business strategy consultant. For the last 9 years, Darren has worked as an executive compensation consultant managing client relationships and advising Fortune 500 companies on regulatory compliance, competitive practice, and appropriate program design. Over the last year and a half, Darren has also been working with a small strategy consulting firm based out of San Francisco where he helped build and now manages a program that is helping a large oil and gas manufacturer and its lubricant distributor network improve and grow their sales organizations.
In the past, Darren also worked as a Hollywood club promoter and was a partner at a startup export company.
During his now dwindling spare time, Darren enjoys traveling, sports, the beach, wine, and Vegas!
Jennifer Boicic is the Internal Representative for FEMBA FLEX. In 2007, she completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Southern California with a B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering and served as President of the Engineering Student Council. Upon graduating, she joined Cisco Systems' Sales organization as a Systems Engineer leading the technical strategies in accounts covering Southern California. In 2013, she moved to San Jose for an Architecture Solutions Manager role where she is responsible for the training and delivery of Cisco Systems' Global Sales Training Program focusing on early in career talent. Jennifer is also a member of the High Tech Business Association within the Anderson community.
Alexandra is the External Representative for the Flex Section, Class of 2016. She is originally from Florida and prior to moving to Southern California, attended the University of Florida, graduating cum laude with a B.A. in Criminology. Immediately after college, she moved on to attend California Western School of Law in San Diego, California, where she earned her Juris Doctor, focusing on corporate and transactional law.
Alexandra started out her law career working as a Senior Associate Attorney for a boutique corporate and securities law firm that focused on financings, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance. She currently lives in San Diego and runs her own law office as a solo-practicing attorney who works with other attorneys and company clients on various matters, including company formation, financing, intellectual property and securities law compliance. In her spare time, Alexandra enjoys practicing Pilates, cooking, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her two dogs.
Sandeep Shah is the Social Representative for FEMBA Flex Section, Class of 2016. He grew up in UAE and India and after completing his Bachelors in Computer Engineering from India, he worked and lived in Sydney, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, San Francisco and now lives in Houston, TX. He works at IBM as the Customer Engagement Lead for its Database Security suite of products. He has ten years of IT consulting experience in customer-relationship management and enablement, designing and implementing robust database security solutions to improve business efficiency and functionality of Fortune 500 customers.
At Anderson, Sandeep is also co-chair of the FEMBAssador social media team and blogs his thoughts in the 'FEMBA Speaks' blog. In his spare time his interests are hiking, traveling, eating at food trucks and restaurants, sports, current affairs and anything to do with 'Breaking Bad' and 'House of Cards'.
