Challenge For Charity (C4C)

UCLA Anderson’s Challenge for Charity (C4C) is the largest charitable organization at UCLA Anderson School of Management. Last year, Anderson C4C raised over $47,000 and volunteered more than 5,000 hours for its three select charities: Special Olympics, Junior Achievement and Project ECHO. UCLA Anderson is one of nine West Coast business schools in the MBA Challenge for Charity organization that competes annually for the coveted Golden Briefcase. The competition comprises fundraising, volunteerism and the annual Sports Weekend hosted at Stanford University each April. We strive to help develop Anderson MBAs with a lifelong commitment to community involvement and social responsibility. Challenge for Charity has 501(c)(3) nonprofit standing.

C4C Weekend

C4C Weekend is one of Anderson’s biggest events of the year. Each April, hundreds of UCLA Anderson students bus, fly and drive up to Stanford to compete against other West Coast business schools for the Golden Briefcase.

Snow Trip

Every winter break after first-quarter finals, over 200 Anderson students embark on a trip to partake in skiing, snowboarding and more, all while supporting Challenge for Charity.

Casino Night

What do raising money for charity, playing Blackjack with your professors and bidding on various awesome auction items have in common? The answer: C4C Casino Night! Casino Night is one of the best events of winter quarter, and all proceeds raised go directly toward supporting our charities.

Orientation for Junior Achievement Day

Junior Achievement (JA) inspires and prepares young students ranging from kindergarten to 12th grade to succeed in a global economy. During orientation, every member of the new class gets the opportunity to participate in a JA Day at local elementary schools, where JA students teach the kids about business and the economy (and play with them at recess, too!).

Special Olympics We Run the City

We Run the City is an annual rivalry race between UCLA and USC that supports Special Olympics Southern California. Special Olympics Southern California enriches the lives of children and adults with intellectual disabilities and engages their communities through sports, education and athlete health.

Project Echo Mentor Program

Through the Project Echo mentorship program UCLA Anderson students help teams of high school students prepare business plans for a competition held during the spring quarter.

And more!

C4C organizes dozens of other outstanding volunteer opportunities and fundraising events throughout the year. We hope to see you there!
