Ted Simpson

Ted Simpson began his real estate career in 1988 with Coldwell Banker (now CB Richard Ellis). In 1994, John C. Cushman, III selected him to join Cushman Realty Corporation, which was sold to Cushman & Wakefield in 2001. At C&W, Mr. Simpson served as the Executive Director in the downtown Los Angeles office managing a global corporate services team. Additionally, he was a perennial member of the Chairman's Circle, an honor reserved for the company's top producers. In 2005, he was named as a "Power Broker" by Real Estate Forum Magazine. Currently, Ted Simpson is the Managing Director & Principal of Avison Young, a global real estate services firm.

Mr. Simpson has transacted business in more than 20 US states and has built out clients' international platforms such as a manufacturing facility in Singapore, a research and development facility in Cambridge, and a 400 acre development site in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He negotiated the largest office lease on record in San Diego for Illumina, which was named as Forbes' Fastest Growing Technology Company.

He and his wife, Debbie, are raising a daughter and son, ages 5 and 7, in Palos Verdes Estates, California. Mr. Simpson received his BA from Vanderbilt University. He holds CoreNet Global's Master of Corporate Real Estate (MCR) designation. and taught the Basic Finance course.
