Mr. Ziman brings both his depth and breadth of experience to his discussion of the real estate market. Richard will discuss the Richard S. Ziman Center for Real Estate at UCLA, focusing particularly on the "MWBE" Fund. He will then discuss the impact of the current real estate market on the banking industry. Held for the first time in 1992, AREUEA's annual International Conference over the years has become the leading conference to address global developments in international topics that affect real estate and urban economics. 2009 Summer Real Estate Symposium

Hosted by Arizona State, UC Berkeley, UCLA, Columbia, UT-Austin, Wharton, and Wisconsin, the focus of the Symposium will be on real estate finance, broadly defined, in order to take advantage of the proximity to WFA meetings. 1000 Homes, Phase I - Homelessness Learning Day

1000 Homes is a comprehensive three-phase program that aims to combat chronic homelessness in Los Angeles County through increased levels of permanent supportive housing. The program will be spearheaded by the Los Angeles District Council of the Urban Land Institute, the Corporation for Supportive Housing, the Westside Urban Forum, the UCLA Ziman Center for Real Estate, and Shelter Partnership. The ULI-LA District Council was recently awarded a Community Action Grant from the ULI Foundation for 1000 Homes. The Ziman Center will sponsor phase one of the program.
