John Casaudoumecq is a managing director of Citigroup and global head of commodities. He is the president of Citigroup Energy Inc. In addition, he is a member of the FICC management committee and Citigroup European operating committee.
Prior to assuming his current responsibilities, Casaudoumecq was chief operating officer of global fixed income with responsibility for finance, technology, and operating risk and control, as well as all business unit management and middle office.
Casaudoumecq started his career at Salomon Brothers Inc. in 1985. He has held a number of positions within global fixed income, including global head of e-commerce, San Francisco institutional office head; product head, U.S. fixed income derivatives; head of trading — Canadian government bonds; and head
of Canadian fixed income.
Casaudoumecq is a past chairman of SIFMA’s technology committee. Previously he was chairman and a director of Swapco, the markets’ first self-terminating AAA swap counterparty; director of Tradeweb; director of Communicator Inc.; director of i-Deal LLC; and director of Brokertec LLC.
Casaudoumecq received an A.B. degree in 1981 from Dartmouth College and spent two years as a financial analyst with General Electric, successfully completing their financial management program.
He earned his MBA degree in 1985 from UCLA Anderson School of Management.
