This newsletter is to provide an update on the recent and upcoming activities with Global Business and Information Technologies (BIT).
BIT now has 17 partners in 21 countries including Argentina, Chile, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Peru, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Portugal and USA. Global partners are listed at http://www.anderson.ucla.edu/x1237.xml.
The BIT conference has become an annual event. Last year's conference was held on Jan 12-13 Santiago, Chile. It was attended by multiple BIT partners from USA, Colombia, Switzerland, Italy, Korea and Chile. Details on the conference and the presentations are at http://www.cetiuc.cl/bit2010/.
The next BIT Conference will be held on July 29-30, 2011 at UCLA Anderson in Los Angeles, USA. The upcoming conference is titled "Service Industrialization and the Global Information Economy" Details are at http://www.anderson.ucla.edu/2011BITConference.xml. This will be a 2 day event with Day 1 focusing primarily on Industry and Day 2's focus being academic. Please send your abstracts to BIT@anderson.ucla.edu by May 15. In addition to BIT presentations, some time will be allocated to discussing BIT issues and future plans. Please send your recommendations for discussion to BIT@anderson.ucla.edu.
Also upcoming is the publication of the third BIT book. Similar to the first two books, published in 2007 and 2009, this book will also be published by World Scientific Publishing Company. Please send your manuscripts for inclusion in the book by June 30, 2011 to BIT@anderson.ucla.edu. Samples for formatting provided by the publisher will be forwarded for paper submissions.
