Karla is SVP, Sr. Partner of The Impact Studio at Ogilvy and Mather, a newly formed cross-discipline initiative with a simple goal – to extract emerging trends in, entertainment, fashion, pop-culture, technology and cross-cultural strategies from one of the world’s largest creative economies, Los Angeles. Karla works with clients to collaborate and tap into creative ways for brands to engage consumers and customers in the marketplace. In addition, she serves as the West Coast lead on Ogilvy’s cross-cultural strategies and national external affair initiatives. Karla has dedicated many years of her life to implementing programs beneficial to both communities and corporations. In addition, Karla is an appointee to the United States Federal Communication Committee on Diversity in a Digital Age and manages the Broadband Opportunity Coalition.

Karla previously worked at One Economy Corporation where she managed and fostered corporate relationships with partners such as Comcast/NBC, T-Mobile, Participant Media, Sprint, City Year and others. Karla has been a visiting speaker at Harvard and Georgetown University is an advisory board member of the Marcus Graham Project. Ms. Ballard graduated from the University of Virginia - College of Arts and Sciences with a Bachelors in English.
