Dominique Hanssens, Bud Knapp Professor of Marketing - UCLA Anderson

Dominique Hanssens is the Bud Knapp Professor of Marketing at the UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Management, where he has been on the faculty since 1977. He has served as the school's faculty chair, associate dean, and marketing area chair. From July 2005 to June 2007 he served as Executive Director of the Marketing Science Institute in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Dr. Hanssens studied econometrics at the University of Antwerp (B.S., 1974) in his native Belgium. He then pursued graduate study in marketing at Purdue University's Krannert Graduate School of Management, where he obtained an M.S. in 1976 and a Ph.D. in 1977.

Professor Hanssens' consulting experience covers strategic marketing problems such as allocating marketing resources, assessing long-term marketing effectiveness and growing customer equity. His approach emphasizes market-response modeling on sophisticated customer and marketing databases. His has conducted assignments for Agilent Technologies, British Telecom, DaimlerChrysler, Disney, Google, Hewlett Packard, Home Savings of America, Hughes, Johnson & Johnson, Mattel Toys, Microsoft, Schwab, Wachovia and Wells Fargo, among others. He is a partner with MarketSharePartners, a marketing analytics firm headquartered in Los Angeles.

Jeffrey Hirsch

Jeffrey Hirsch is Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing and Sales Officer, Residential Services of Time Warner Cable. In this role, Mr. Hirsch is responsible for driving residential revenue through customer acquisition, growth and retention for the company's $18 billion residential business.

Mr. Hirsch became Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Residential Services in 2011. In that capacity he led residential marketing and customer care, including the development and management of the company's brand architecture, bundling and pricing strategies, retail and web channels, consumer research and segmentation approaches. As CMO, Mr. Hirsch has transformed the way the Time Warner Cable's products and services are marketed to consumers, evident in the "Enjoy Better" marketing platform the company launched in 2012. Mr. Hirsch's prior professional experience includes positions at NYNEX Corporation, where he was responsible for marketing programs, and at McCann-Erickson, where he developed advertising programs.

Mr. Hirsch received a bachelor of arts in communications from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from The Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College. He was awarded the cable industry's Vanguard Award for Young Leadership in 2012.

Shelly Lazarus

Shelly Lazarus, Chairman Emeritus - Ogilvy & Mather

Shelly rose through the ranks of Ogilvy & Mather assuming positions of increasing responsibility in the management of the company, including president of O&M Direct North America, Ogilvy & Mather New York and Ogilvy & Mather North America. She was named worldwide CEO of Ogilvy & Mather in 1996 and Chairman in 1997. She became Chairman Emeritus in July 2012.

Under Shelly’s leadership, that essential mission has remained the centerpiece of the company’s philosophy, extending across regions and marketing disciplines, and attracting some of the world’s largest and most respected brands including American Express, BP, Coca-Cola, IBM and Unilever among many others.

Shelly serves on the boards of several corporate, philanthropic and academic institutions: The Blackstone Group, FINRA, General Electric, Merck, New York Presbyterian Hospital, Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy, World Wildlife Fund, Partnership for New York City, Lincoln Center, and the Board of Overseers of Columbia Business School, where she received her MBA in 1970. Andy Meyer

Andy Meyer, Head of Programming - Jarrett Creative

Andy Meyer is head of Programming for Jarrett Creative, a TV production company. He has worked as a producer and network executive in reality, entertainment, sports and new media for nearly two decades. His most notable successes have included hit shows like American Idol, Blind Date, ESPN SportsCentury and the launch of ESPN Classic.

Currently, he is the Creator and Executive Producer of Big Tips Texas a new 14- episode docu-series airing on MTV in October 2013. He is also presently serving as production and creative executive on series for TNT, TLC, Bio Channel and TVGN.

Previously, Meyer has served as the Head of Original Programming for Versus (now the NBC Sports Network) where he created and executive produced thesports-reality show Sports Jobs with Junior Seau and the provocative sports andentertainment talk show The T.Ocho Show, starring outspoken NFL stars Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco. Prior to Versus, Meyer served as VP Original Programming and Production for music network Fuse. In this role, he oversaw the development and production of all of Fuse’s original series and specials for both the linear cable channel and Fuse’s pioneering multi-platform distribution. Andy graduated from Syracuse University’s SI Newhouse School of Public Communications in 1995.

Sanjog Misra, Professor of Marketing - UCLA Anderson

Sanjog Misra is Professor of Marketing at UCLA Anderson School of Management. Professor Misra's current research involves the use of structural econometric methods to study consumer and firm decisions. His particular interests involve understanding firm decisions pertaining to pricing, distribution and salesforce management issues and how consumers make discrete choices.

Professor Misra serves as an Associate Editor at Marketing Science and Quantitative Marketing and Economics and is on the editorial board of the Journal of Marketing Research. In addition, he has been acted as Associate Editor for special issues of Management Science and the Journal of Marketing Research. Professor Misra is actively involved in partnering with firms in his research and has worked on various projects with companies such as Eli Lilly, Adventis, Mercer Consulting, Sprint, MGM, Bausch & Lomb, Xerox Corporation and Lucent Technologies with the aim of helping them design efficient, analytics based, management systems that result in better decisions. Prior to joining UCLA Anderson Professor Misra was Associate Professor at the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester and has taught (as visiting faculty) at the Johnson School of Management at Cornell University and the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University.

Rashmi Nigam, Director of Product Management for Data Warehouse - Machinima

As Adjunct Professor, he teaches at NYU Stern School of Business and the Steinhardt School of Education. He is author of Television Marketing: Network, Local, and Cable (McGraw-Hill) and has many articles published in professional journals. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame (B.A., magna cum laude, History), and NYU (M.B.A., Marketing).

Colleen Quinn, Global Program Director, Media & Entertainment Industry Solutions - Teradata

Colleen Quinn is Senior Director of Media & Entertainment for Teradata Corporation’s Global Industry Marketing and Solutions group, responsible for overall solution strategy and marketing for the Media & Entertainment Industry.

Prior to joining Teradata, she served as Ascent Media's Senior Director for Digital Services, overseeing global Program Management and Business Development for Studios and Cable/MSOs. Quinn brings over ten years of expertise in digital media management and technology, leading digital media strategy and business development for multi-platform in US and EMEA - and more than 15-years in Media & Entertainment, having transitioned to digital media from a successful career writing and producing award-winning television programs for TLC, Fox and Sony. Quinn served as principal and partner with SoftArt Management Consulting where she led the deployment of supply chain, sourcing and custom software development projects for entertainment companies.

Sanjay Sood, Marketing Area Chair & Faculty Director, Center for MEMES - UCLA Anderson

Sanjay Sood's research and teaching expertise lies in the area of brand equity and consumer decision making. Using psychological principles, Sanjay examines how firms can best build, manage, and leverage strong brand names. This includes investigating what brand names mean to consumers, how to manage brand portfolios, how to use brand naming strategies to launch new products, and how to protect brand names from becoming diluted over time and across geographical boundaries. His research has been published in leading marketing and psychology journals including the Journal of Consumer ResearchJournal of Marketing, andCognitive Psychology. Sanjay is an associate editor at the Journal of Marketing, and he is on the editorial review boards of the Journal of Consumer ResearchJournal of Consumer Psychology and the Journal of Marketing Research.

Sanjay obtained his Ph.D. in Marketing from the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University. Sanjay also received an MBA degree from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University, majoring in marketing and strategy. He gained industry experience in product marketing at Centel Corporation, now a division of Sprint. Before joining Centel, he completed a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

Sanjay has won several awards for excellence in teaching and student mentoring, including the Neidorf Decade Teaching Award at UCLA. Actively involved with industry, Sanjay has worked with several leading marketing companies, including Intel, Starbucks, Disney, Levi-Strauss, Microsoft, and Kaiser Permanente.

Howard Stein, Head of Entertainment Strategy - Facebook Inc.

As a member of the Global Creative Solutions team Howard is responsible for developing ideas and foundational social strategies that inspire innovation for networks, studios, and fortune 100 brands aligned with existing entertainment properties. Additionally, Howard consults the creative community in building socially enabled film and television formats.

Prior to Facebook, Howard served as senior Vice President of Digital Development at FremantleMedia North America where he developed and executed the company's product, digital content and distribution strategies. Howard's efforts helped define the direction of American Idol, America's Got Talent, Price Is Right, and Family Feud's digital presence as well as the company's original digital content efforts.

Marc Vermut, VP - MarketShare

Marc focuses on Technology and Retail clients, and authors thought leadership on marketing effectiveness. Previously, Marc worked in strategy and finance for Entertainment ventures including Control Room, Live Earth, Participant Productions and Twentieth Century Fox, serving as CFO for Maverick Films. Marc began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, advising on M&A and corporate finance transactions. He has a BSEc from the Wharton School and an MBA from UCLAAnderson.
