Eric and “E” Juline Faculty Excellence in Research Award

Associate Professor Guillaume received his Ph.D. from MIT and joined our DOTM faculty in 2006. Since then, he has produced a steady stream of significant research in supply-chain management and service-operations. Guillaume also excels in teaching, having already won five teaching awards at Anderson.

The J. Clayburn La Force Faculty Leadership Award

The 2014 La Force Faculty Leadership Award was granted to Professor Kevin McCardle. Among his academic service activities, Kevin served as senior associate dean for the MBA program (2007-2010), chaired the Academic Senate Charges Committee (2011-2013), and currently serves on our Faculty Executive Committee, where he also chairs the curriculum subcommittee.

Dean’s Prize for Outstanding Faculty Mentorship of PhD Students

Richard Roll was selected the recipient of the 2014 Dean’s Prize for Outstanding Faculty Mentorship of PhD Students. Professor Roll was selected on the basis of decades of mentoring PhD students, the excellent placement of his students, and the PhD level courses he has taught.

Xavier Drèze Prize

In memory of Anderson colleague and friend, Professor Xavier Drèze, an annual award has been established to honor a UCLA Anderson PhD student for the most outstanding research paper. The Xavier Drèze Prize for 2014 goes to graduating PhD student Paul Hoban who will join the University of Wisconsin marketing department this fall. Paul’s paper, “Trading Reputation for Traffic: An Examination of Restaurant Daily Deal Decisions,” was selected by the Drèze award committee comprised of Professors Marvin Lieberman and Francis Longstaff.
