Shalini Chidambaram

Shalini Chidambaram is an MBA candidate in UCLA Anderson's class of 2009 with focus on Finance. Shalini worked the summer of 2008 as an intern with a long & short hedge fund based in Los Angeles, conducting fundamental research for possible investment opportunities. Prior to that, she spent two and half years as a senior credit analyst in Commercial Banking at Comerica Bank, supporting $600M+ portfolio. She was formally credit trained and selected to be on the promotion list to serve as key member of a high performing team of bankers. Shalini holds a Bachelor degree in Finance and Accounting and has three years of international work experience in a Multinational Bank in Dubai. She joined graduate school with the intention to transition to a career in investment management. Shalini has passed CFA level 1. Apart from being a part of ASAM, she is also a member of the Investment Finance Club.
 
Eric Cho

Eric is concentrating on Finance at Anderson. Prior to Anderson, Eric co-founded Pioneer Brothers Capital, LLC with colleagues, where he effectively managed a small fund, applying various valuation techniques. He also acted as a CFO with responsibilities that include, generating financial statements, forecasting cash flow projections, and managing traders' accounts. His interest and desire to develop more comprehensive skill sets in asset management has led him to Anderson. Eric has a BS in Accounting and minor in economics from SUNY at Binghamton. He has completed CPA Examination and is a CFA level 2 candidate.

 
Claire Huang

Claire Huang is a full time MBA student focusing in Asset Management. She holds Bachelor degree in Electric Engineering from National Taiwan University in Taiwan and a Master degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Michigan. After graduation, Claire took multiple manufacturing and product development projects at Xilinx, resulting in winning multi-million contracts with CISCO, KLA and Fujitsu. Due to her strong interests in business creation, Claire took an initiative role at Tech-Venture Business Network helping young entrepreneurs to launch business and connecting them with financial sponsors. Claire spent the summer of 2008 as an internal consultant at Analog Devices, conducting strategy initiation and revenue forecast in healthcare industry.

 
Jessie Huang

Jessie is an MBA student at Anderson School of Management focusing on finance. She works as an Assistant Vice President in finance at Bank of America, where she is in charge of financial decision analysis of business and product development. Jessie is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Due to her passion in financial markets and society involvements, she has served on the board of CFA Society of Orange County for 4 years with multiple leadership positions. She is also an active member of the Anderson Investment Finance Club and selected as a student manager of the Anderson Student Asset Management Fund. This summer Jessie interned in the China First Capital, a private equity advisor specializing in small and medium capital markets, with responsibility of due diligence, valuation and private placement memorandum. Jessie gained her Master degree in statistics from UCLA and Bachelor degree in Engineering from Tsinghua University. In addition to investing, she enjoys traveling, photography, reading, dining and hanging around with friends.

 
Armen Karakashian

Armen is a full time MBA student in the class of 2009 at UCLA Anderson School of Management and a CFA Level II candidate. His MBA studies are focused on finance and entrepreneurship. Prior to attending Anderson, Armen worked at Farmers Insurance Group first as an Actuarial Analyst and later as an Assistant Product Manager for the personal lines auto insurance division. Armen was a summer intern at Knightsbridge Asset Management where he researched and tested various equity investment strategies. He holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science degree from UCLA, both in Electrical Engineering.

 
Jeff Lamarque

Jeff Lamarque is a 2009 MBA candidate with an emphasis on finance at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. In addition to ASAM, Jeff is the Financials Manager for his field study team in the Global Access Program. In this role, he is producing financial statements and projections for a small, growing company in Chile. Jeff has worked for the past 5 years as a System Engineer at the Boeing Satellite Development Center, where he manages the development and quality of a functional database containing large amounts of information. Jeff has a B.S. degree from MIT in Chemical Engineering.

 
Uday Mathur

Uday Mathur is an MBA candidate in UCLA Anderson's class of 2009. Uday spent the last 17 months as an Appications Engineer at Micron Technology where he worked with customers to implement advanced cameras in mobile phones. He also spent 4 years as a digital design engineer at Biomorphic VLSI, and 2 years as an open-source software developer at ArsDigita. Uday returned to graduate school to study finance and hopes to transition to a career in quantitative investment management. In addition to being president of ASAM, Uday is also a member of the Investment Finance Club. He graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Uday previously interned with Blade Ventures where he evaluated early-stage technology deals and will spend the summer of 2008 as an Intern at Nicholas Investment Partners building quantitative models and conducting fundamental research.

 
Shriram Pitchumani

Shriram has over 8 years experience in the technology industry covering multiple functional areas such as production, operations, e-commerce, customer service, sales and supply chain management and currently works for International Rectifier Corp. as a Service Operations/Demand Planning Manager. He is concentrating in finance and strategy at UCLA Anderson and also holds a M.S degree in Operations Research and B.S degree with Honors in Chemical Engineering. In his spare time, Shriram likes reading biographies, playing chess and enjoys kayaking/rafting.

Milko Todorov

Milko is a 2009 MBA candidate at the UCLA Anderson School of Management and will be working as a research analyst at Braeburn Capital for the summer of 2008. He worked for Bear Stearns in New York for six years. As an investment banking analyst in the Structured Equity Products group, Milko advised clients and other bankers on structured equity financing solutions and characteristics of convertible securities and equity derivatives. He also worked on the index options desk where he traded over the counter derivatives for clients and firm. Milko received an undergraduate degree in economics and mathematics from Bates College in 2001.

 
Rahul Vishal

Rahul Vishal is an MBA candidate in UCLA Anderson's class of 2009 with a focus in finance. Rahul is selected as the leader of the ASAM's Tactical Asset Allocation strategy, and is the risk manager of the ASAM program. In 1997, he received a B. Tech. (Honors) in Energy Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, India. Rahul is employed with Indymac Bank since the past 7.5 years. He currently manages the MBS risk research group for the Investment Portfolio division. As part of his role, he is responsible for the risk analytics on the portfolio, which includes prepayment, credit and market risk modeling and analytics for the different MBS portfolios. Prior to this role, Rahul managed the process and technology groups at Indymac, and earlier worked in technology consulting roles at Citigroup and Trilogy Inc. Rahul plans to grow further in his career in the portfolio management and risk management functions.

 
Brad Weekes

Brad Weekes is a 2010 MBA candidate at the UCLA Anderson School of Management where he is concentrating on Finance, Strategy, and Entrepreneurship. Currently Brad is a technical lead at PacketVideo where he holds technical and project responsibility for launching products under the V CAST brand for Verizon Wireless. In this capacity, he helps define features, schedules, and architectures while managing a team of engineers and serving as the technical point of contact for customers and partners. Previously he was a Senior System Engineer for a startup delivering turnkey telecommunication systems to developing nations. In addition to his selection to ASAM, Brad was also selected for the Deutschman Venture Fellowship. He is also a member of the Investment Finance Club, Entrepreneur Association, and the High-Tech Business Assocation. Brad holds a Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering and a Masters in Electrical Engineering, both from the University of California at San Diego.

 
Bill Wynne Bill Wynne received a BS in Mechanical Engineering with honors from Cornell University. After graduating, Bill worked as a managerial consultant for Stroud Consulting. His main responsibilities as a consultant were assessing the amount of opportunity within organizations and leading three to ten person teams to drive operational improvement. Bill was selected as team leader of the FSCORE quantitative strategy. This summer, Bill worked for Wilshire Associates in their equity analytics division.

Julian Young Julian is a Fully Employed MBA student in the UCLA Anderson class of 2010 with a focus on Finance. Currently, Julian is a trader at Countrywide in the secondary markets for agency arms. Prior to joining Countrywide, Julian was a Relative Value Analyst at Allegiance Capital, a fixed income firm, where he works directly with portfolio managers in research. Julian graduated from Unversity of California at Berkeley with bachelor degrees in Mathematics and Economics and is a CFA Charter holder. In his spare time he enjoys traveling, investing, and spending time with family and friends.
