Reznick Capital Markets, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Reznick Group, a top 20 national public accounting firm, announced the appointment of John Lustgarten ('97) as its Managing Director. Based in the firm's Los Angeles office, Lustgarten will expand the firm's national focus on the capital markets sector of the commercial real estate industry.

John's hands-on experience as a private equity fund investor, combined with his extensive sponsor, private equity fund and lender relationships, will be key to assembling strategic joint ventures and providing asset level equity and debt placement on a national basis," said Rob Sternthal, president, Reznick Capital Markets.
Lustgarten will serve a broad base of clients including real estate owners, operators and developers.
Lustgarten brings more than 20 years of financial structuring, lending and capital sourcing experience to Reznick Capital Markets. He recently founded Snowmass Capital, a real estate investment company. Previously, he served as Director of Structured Finance at Lowe Enterprises Investors, where he was responsible for the origination, structuring, underwriting and negotiation of Lowe's structured debt and preferred equity investments in two funds that he played a key role in forming. Prior to Lowe, he served as Director of North American Debt for GE Capital Real Estate. He was also Managing Director for Mayer Capital Partners, Finance Director at CIM Group, and Manager in RBC Capital Markets' Leveraged Finance Group.
Lustgarten holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania as well as a Masters in Business Administration from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
