Bob Pettit (‘89), former executive director of alumni relations, has taken on a new role at UCLA Anderson. Pettit is now the executive director of the school's planned Global Executive MBA Program for the Americas, working with Faculty Director Dominique Hanssens and Chilean partner school, Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez.
Patterned after the school's efforts in Asia, this new program extends UCLA Anderson's reach into Latin America.
The new program is targeted to begin in April 2011. Based in Westwood, Pettit will also serve as a school liaison with alumni and corporate partners across Latin America. Fluent in Spanish, Pettit brings 15 years of brand and product management experience to this new endeavor.
"I am excited to take on this new strategic initiative for the school," Pettit said. "I look forward to delivering a program that offers management expertise and leadership skills to executives who have responsibility for Latin America or the Americas."
With his leadership over the past five years, the alumni relations team has made significant contributions to the Alumni Network, adding new programming for alumni chapters in the U.S. and around the world, increasing online connections with alumni, building up alumni career services and expanding the reach of Alumni Weekend.
