Mr. Maen is a founding member of Innovative Dining Group (IDG). Since 1996, IDG has opened thirteen successful restaurants in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Scottsdale. IDG's brands include Sushi Roku, Boa Steakhouse, Katana, Robata Bar. Most recently opening Delphine, Station Hollywood and the Living Room all within the new W Hotel Hollywood.
After receiving his Undergraduate degree in Economics from UCLA, Mr. Maen entered the real estate market as a commercial real estate broker. Soon thereafter, Mr. Maen entered into the MBA program at the Anderson School at UCLA during which he founded his first entrepreneurial venture with the development of The Gem Bar & Lounge, a hot New York style club on Melrose in Hollywood.
After earning his MBA in 1996, Mr. Maen developed the first Sushi Roku on Third Street in Los Angeles and set a new trend for cutting edge dining in Southern California.
Maen is particularly hands-on with scouting new locations, raising money for new ventures, and designing each IDG venue. Additionally, he oversees marketing, public relations and works closely with management and staff at each restaurant.
Mr. Maen has sat on numerous industry panels including the Aspen Food and Wine Festival and participates along with IDG in several charitable events each year.
