USING TECHNICAL ANALYSIS TO IDENTIFY TRENDS, DEVELOP STRATEGY, and MANAGE RISK

Most economists and business strategists failed to identify the key pivotal turns for the economy in 2000, 2007, and 2009. What these economists and strategists have in common is the critical omission of technical analysis – especially cyclical analysis – as part of their analytical processes.

At this lunch, you will learn that successful investing requires the mastery of three separate skills:

1. Asset allocation
2. Risk or money management
3. Market Timing

Stan Harley, Anderson alum, will show how he uses technical analysis to identify market trends, develop strategy, manage risk, and forecast entry/exit points. The presentation will include a comprehensive discussion and analysis of the key cycles affecting the stock, bond, and residential real estate markets.

Stan Harley, President of Harley Capital Management, has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from UCLA. Mr. Harley publishes The Harley Market Letter – an investment advisory publication that provides advanced technical analysis of the financial markets. Reviewed, quoted in Barron's, Investors' Business Daily, and The Los Angeles Times, Stan is also a frequent guest market analyst on radio, television, and streaming internet audio/video web sites.
