Every day, hundreds of employers throughout California face lawsuits from employees. Many are brought by disgruntled employees after a termination. Their attorneys will scrutinize every policy and actions taken against the employee for legal compliance, often suing for technical violations of confusing and vague laws.

These cases are costly and preventable. Employers who take time to learn, implement and enforce policies and other measures to mitigate this risk will be in a great position to avoid or defeat any lawsuits brought against them.

Come and learn how to spot the risks and what steps you should take.

This presentation will be interactive.  Feel free to submit questions to the speaker ahead of time (oscar@landerggeresq.com) or at the breakfast.

Oscar Rivas has been defending employers for 11 years, handling all kinds of employment litigation alleging employee discrimination, retaliation, wrongful terminations, and wage and hour violations, including class actions. He regularly represents employers before state and federal courts, the California Labor Commissioner, the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and other state and federal agencies to defend employers’ actions taken against employees.
Oscar is successful in representing employers in litigation, but prefers to help them design and implement preventive measures that make them more lawsuit-resistant!
