Please join Anderson alumni for dinner with Tig Krekel as he discusses his illustrious career and how to build an effective board of directors and develop strong general managers.  This is a great opportunity to learn from an industry leader and network with other alumni.  Dinner will be provided.


About Tig Krekel

Tig H. Krekel is the Chairman of the Hudson Group, a management and investment advisory services firm founded in 2001. He was also Vice Chairman and Managing Partner of J.F. Lehman & Company, a private equity firm concentrating on the aerospace, defense and marine industries from 2003 to 2012. Prior to joining J.F. Lehman, Mr. Krekel served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Hughes Space and Communications, and as a Group President of the Boeing Company, overseeing the world’s largest manufacturer of commercial and military satellites. Before joining Hughes in 1999, Mr. Krekel was the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Aerospace Equipment Systems group of AlliedSignal (now Honeywell), which served the commercial transport, regional airline, general aviation, military and space markets. Before AlliedSignal, Mr. Krekel served in senior executive positions at Decair Corporation, an aviation/aerospace holding company, Poloron Products, a diversified manufacturing concern and Jet America, a domestic and international air carrier. He holds an Airline Transport Pilot's license and has more than 3,000 hours of flight time in jet and rotary-wing aircraft.

Mr. Krekel spent five years as a Naval Officer holding various assignments including nuclear engineering duty on the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise, and aide in the office of the Chief of Naval Operations at the Pentagon. Mr. Krekel graduated with honors from the U.S. Naval Academy with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, from the U.S. Naval Nuclear Power School as a licensed Nuclear Engineer, and earned an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is the former Chairman of the Board of Atlantic Inertial Systems (now part of General Electric) and the Defense Venture Group. Mr. Krekel is a director of Orbital ATK, Inc. (OA-NYSE), a major aerospace, defense and space systems manufacturing firm, and Vista Outdoor, Inc. (VSTO-NYSE), a leading global designer, manufacturer and marketer in the outdoor sports and recreation markets.
