About Kirk Woodley

Kirk Woodley joined Oppenheimer in 2010 as Senior Director - Investments.  Before joining Oppenheimer, Kirk had co-managed a Corporate Services and High Net Worth management team advising public and private companies, their executives, non-profits, universities, Hedge Funds, Mutual Funds, Native American Indian Tribes, Homeowners Associations and High Net Worth individuals with respect to both fixed income and equity investments.

Kirk has 25 years of experience in fixed income and equity portfolio management assisting institutional clients with asset management, structuring investment policies and developing macro portfolio strategies.

Before he joined Oppenheimer, he was responsible for managing corporate cash as Director of the Corporate Client Group at Citigroup/Smith Barney for ten years and as First Vice President at Merrill Lynch & Co. for eight years.  Prior to his career on Wall St., Kirk worked in public accounting for Arthur Young and Company.  Kirk earned a BA in Business Administration in finance from the University of Oklahoma and received his CPA certificate in 1986 (inactive).

John Brian Ogden serves as Director - Investments at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc.  With over 34 years of experience in the financial services industry, Brian is also a portfolio manager within the Firm's OMEGA Group, a program that allows a select group of experienced Financial Advisors to directly manage individual client portfolios.  Brian also serves as the Branch Manager for the San Diego, CA office of Oppenheimer & Co. Inc.

As a portfolio manager for the firm's OMEGA program, Brian manages clients' portfolios under a written agreement.  He believes that an adaptive investment strategy which combines both fundamental and technical analysis increases the odds for investment success in today's global financial markets.

Before Brian joined Oppenheimer in May 2010, he worked at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and their predecessor firms as a First Vice President and Portfolio Management dating back to 1981.  In addition, he was part of Smith Barney's Carlsbad, CA branch management team from 2004 to 2009 and attended the College of Financial Planning.
