About Karen Trissel ‘93

Karen is Vice President and Chief Consumer Intelligence Officer for Jack in The Box, where she oversees Consumer Insights, Sales and Guest Analytics, and Guest Feedback Systems.  Karen’s group works with both the Jack in the Box and Qdoba brand teams.  Karen has over two decades of management and strategy experience across a range of industries and companies. She began her career at General Mills, where she worked on some of the company’s largest brands, including Honey Nut Cheerios and Pop Secret Popcorn.   After leaving General Mills, Karen joined Jack in the Box, where she rose to Vice President of Brand Strategy and Product Development.   In addition to her corporate positions, Karen has many years of consulting experience, with clients including packaged goods, retail, restaurant, and nonprofit.  Her consulting work was focused primarily on brand strategy and strategic planning.

Karen received her MBA, with an emphasis in strategy and marketing, from UCLA Anderson and her B.S. in Business Administration from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
