​“Go for Growth” Mark R. Kiesel of PIMCO

The global economy needs growth now more than ever.Global central banks have gone all in to help offset fiscal tightening innumerous regions in developed markets. Political leaders will need to worktogether in order to effectively address the global economy’s lingering fiscalissues and structural barriers to growth. In this environment, investors shouldfocus on bottom-up research in specific sectors andcompanies that can grow significantly faster than their economies.  Mark will share where PIMCO sees opportunitiesfor investors to capitalize on growth despite a subpar global economic outlook.

 

Markis a Managing Director at PIMCO in the Newport Beach office, a generalistportfolio manager, Global Head of the Corporate Bond Portfolio Management Groupand a senior member of the Investment Strategy and Portfolio Management Group.Morningstar named him Fixed Income Fund Manager of the Year in 2012 and afinalist in 2010. He has written extensively on the topic of global creditmarkets, founded the firm's Global Credit Perspectives publication andregularly appears in the financial media. He joined PIMCO in 1996 andpreviously served as PIMCO's head of Equity Derivatives and as a Senior CreditAnalyst. With 20 years of investment experience, Mark holds an MBA from theUniversity of Chicago Booth School of Business and received his undergraduatedegree from the University of Michigan.


A food buffet will be provided including hot pasta, salad, appetizers, and deserts.  Cash bar.

There is a $15 per person fee to attend, payable in advance by 2/25 ($25 at the door – cash only).  This event is open exclusively to the alumni of the 14 business schools that make up the OCMBA and their guests.
