Once you get the job interview, how do you nail it?
We all learned in business school, that you've got to do your homework before the interview. For entry level MBA jobs, we knew what the jobs were from brown bags and evening sessions. We knew what the interviewer was looking for, and even knew what some of the interview questions might be.
But how does that change now that we are alumni and interviewing for our next jobs or more senior titles? What do we need to do if we haven't interviewed for a number of years? How do we prepare for and respond in the interview to impress the interviewer so that we get to an offer?
This webinar is led by career coach Bonnie Wild. She has 25 years of business experience with seven companies within the Johnson & Johnson family of companies in areas of human resources, sales, management, product introductions and international business. Bonnie continues to do contract work with J&J, helping them with interviewing candidates.
In this webinar you will learn advanced, real-world interview strategies including:
- Interview styles; what are the ‘questions behind the questions’ and how to respond to the interviewer
- Common interview questions and responses to make them work for you.
- Questions that job seekers might ask at a job interview; what is the interviewer looking for?
- What not to do
- Alignment of your resume with your interviewing style to provide a foundation that will enable you to anticipate and respond to questions in a controlled, positive, professional and competent manner.
- Optimal method for relating skills and work experience to the new position to give the interviewer confidence in your ability to do the job (skill-action-results)
- A solid close; reading the interviewer and asking the appropriate question to insure you are invited back
