Spring is coming!  The time has arrived to socialize over a good brunch and strengthen the networking bond between UCLA Anderson students and alumni.

The UCLA Anderson LGBT Student Club (Out-at-Anderson) is organizing the Annual Out-at-Anderson Student Club – GLBA Alumni Brunch for Sunday March 3, 2013, at 11:00am at Eleven in the famous and fabulous Boys Town District of West Hollywood (address below).

The historical 1922 building where Eleven Restaurant and Nightclub is located was originally the First National Bank of Sherman, the original name of the city of West Hollywood.  Its namesake and the city’s founder, Moses H. Sherman, contributed to the establishment and development of the great city of West Hollywood.  The building where Eleven is located at 8811 Santa Monica Boulevard was the main commercial intersection at Santa Monica and Larrabee.  An impressive structure, the building was designed by Beverly Hills architect Asa Hudson, and embodies the Italian Revival style with its vertical appearance, large circular arched windows, medallions, heavy stone and detailed molding. The building continued to attract high profile tenant’s throughout its history.  In its reincarnation as the Larrabee Sound Studio in 1969, many well-known music artists recorded there including Prince, Donna Summer, Patti La Belle and Cher. Eleven Restaurant and Nightclub’s owner, Richard Grossi – also the restaurant’s designer, set out to bring the original design of the building back to life while maintaining its rich history and heritage.  Grossi hopes to continue to add to the mystique and recognition of 8811 Santa Monica Boulevard with this one-of-a-kind fine dining and entertainment establishment.

All UCLA Anderson Alumni, Faculty, Staff, Friends, and spouses / domestic partners / significant others are invited to join the student club for this annual tradition.
