John R. Muse, Chairman, co-founded HM Capital Partners in 1989. Mr. Muse has been involved in the Firm’s investment activities in the food and beverage, energy and media sectors since the Firm’s inception. In 1998, he moved to London to extend the Firm’s investment activities into Europe. Mr. Muse serves on the board of directors of a number of portfolio companies in both the United States and Europe. He also serves as a director of Dean Foods as well as the Anderson School of Business at UCLA. Mr. Muse is a 1973 graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and received his MBA from the Anderson School of Business in UCLA in 1974.
Alfred E. Osborne, Jr., Ph.D. is Senior Associate Dean of the UCLA Anderson School of Management, and a professor of global economics and management. He is faculty director of the highly acclaimed Harold and Pauline Price Center for Entrepreneurial Studies. In addition, he directs the Head Start/Johnson & Johnson Management Fellows Program, established to improve the management of child development programs. Dr. Osborne is an advisor and director to several public and private companies including Kaiser Aluminum, The Heckmann Corporation, Wedbush, Inc, and the First Pacific Advisors’ Capital, New Income, International Value and Crescent Funds. Osborne was an Economic Policy Fellow at the Brookings Institution and a Fellow at the Securities and Exchange Commission and is a recipient of the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, the first annual Richard J. Riordan Spirit of Entrepreneurship Award, the annual BridgeGate 20 Award, which recognizes contributions to the high technology community in Southern California, and the National Head Start Association Award for extraordinary contributions to the development of Head Start leaders.
