Tournament Overview Date: Monday, May 7th, 2012 Place: Woodland Hills Country Club 21150 Dumetz Road Woodland Hills, CA 91364 (818) 347-1511 Description: UCLA Anderson Alumni Network golf tournament with 32 teams (foursomes) competing in a scramble format tournament. Net proceeds from the event will go to the Anderson Fund and Alumni Events Fund in support of UCLA Anderson’s student, faculty and alumni initiatives. Entry Fees: Team Foursomes $1,180; Individuals $295 per player. Participation: Alumni and guests are welcome! Players may sign up individually or in four-person teams. Individual registrants can at their request be assigned to a team by the tournament committee or, if can be accommodated, play in a specific foursome. A formal handicap is not required and golfers of all abilities are encouraged to participate – all are welcome and will have fun. Soft-spiked shoes and proper golfing attire are required. Women: Come On Out! The women who joined us last year had a GREAT time and we would love to have more of our alumnae with us out on the golf course! Tournament Schedule: 8:30am - Registration opens; continental breakfast 9:30am - Putting contest 10:30am - All golfers report to carts for tournament briefing 10:45am - Shotgun start - all golfers 4:15pm - Cocktail reception, live and silent auctions 5:30pm - Award presentations and raffle Golfers must be on site and registered 45 minutes in advance of the shotgun start (10:45am). Awards: Prizes will be awarded for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams in each of three categories – low gross, low net and Affiliates (class teams). In addition, teams will compete for one of three trophies: The Anderson Cup: Awarded to the team with the overall low gross score.The Dean's Trophy: Awarded to the team with the overall low net score.The Affiliates Cup: Awarded to the “Anderson Affiliates” class team with the lowest gross score. Golfers from alumni classes from 2006 to 2012 wishing to participate on Affiliates Cup class teams should contact Casey Winn ’09 (caseywinn@gmail.com) for more information. Other Contests: Prior to the start of the tournament a putting contest will be held. In addition, both the front nine and the back nine will have various contests including “long drive”, “most accurate drive” and “closest to the pin”. Food & Beverages: The tournament entry fee includes a continental breakfast prior to the start of the tournament, lunch while on the golf course and awards reception with heavy appetizers afterwards at the clubhouse. Snacks and beverages will be provided throughout the day. Questions?
