Join us Saturday November 19, 2011, for the 10th annual
pilgrimage to San Diego aboard “The Silver Lariat”

This beautifully restored vintage private rail car will travel between
Union Station (Downtown LA) and San Diego.

During the 2 hr journey, sit back and relax in the glass domed upper viewing deck enjoying the scenery, ocean views, and free flowing chilled champagne,
mimosas and soft drinks along with a selection of brunch fare.

On arrival in San Diego you are at leisure for 4 hrs where you may:
Take a harbor cruise over to Coronado Island for lunch.
Visit Hillcrest, Gas Lamp District, Shop …Shop …Shop, Go to the Zoo
In short do anything you want as long as you are back in time for return trip.

Southbound train #572:
Departs LA, Union Station 11:10am arriving San Diego 1:55pm

Northbound train #591:
Departs San Diego 6:20pm arriving LA, Union Station 9:05pm

UCLA Anderson GLBA Alumni Private Car Train Trip to San Diego
November 19, 2011

The Silver Lariat, a gorgeously restored vintage private rail car, will travel from Union Station (Los Angeles) to San Diego (Santa Fe Station) on Saturday November 19, 2011.  All alumni, students, faculty/staff, spouses, and friends are welcome friends are invited.  This is has been a popular and fun filled event in each of the last 10 years.

During the 2 hr journey to San Diego, some alumni practice their expert skills at power networking while others chose to relax in the glass domed carriage enjoying the scenery with unlimited champagne, wine, beer, soft drinks, snacks, & other brunch fare.

On arrival in San Diego, groups go on outings to Coronado, Hillcrest or Balboa Park.  And some people chose to be at leisure during the San Diego layover or to go shopping and exploring in San Diego.

During the evening return to Los Angeles, there will be time onboard The Siler Lariat for more power networking and relaxing with night views of Southern California beaches and cityscapes.
