A common theme of every program: influence, persuasion, negotiation, consensus-building, listening, and setting and managing expectations –all varieties of communications skills.
Alumni Career Services is offering a series of webinars on a variety of communications skills so that alumni can learn best practices that can improve how they communicate in business and personal situations. Communications are a vital part of your career success.
In “Listening Styles” Dr. Carol McCall will help individuals improve professional and personal relationships by becoming “masterful listeners”. Often, communications break down and lead to costly mistakes or unproductive, ineffective relationships. Learn how to be a skilled listener that creates win-win situations and builds powerful relationships.
In this program, attendees will learn:
How to assess your own listening skills and identify how you respond when others are speaking Alternative phrases to use to encourage dialogue, open communications and conflict resolutions How to incorporate these new listening skills into your everyday communications

Carol McCall, PhD, is founder of the Institute for Global Listening and Communication. She has more than 40+ years experience in communication and personal development as a successful educator, author, business executive, entrepreneur, trainer, lecturer, social psychologist and therapist.
