Executive Vice President
Chris is currently Executive Vice President of Live Nation, the largest concert promoter in the world with businesses in concert promotion, venue operation, ticketing, sponsorship, e-commerce and talent management. In his role, he overseas new business development for North America, overseas real estate and new venues, House of Blues expansion, has put music festivals together and is involved in structuring various partnerships and joint ventures with professional sports teams, casino operators and other businesses which depend on access to top artists and live music. He has started an arena division, acted as interim CEO for the venue division and overseen the real estate integration of the Live Nation-Ticketmaster merger.
Previous to this, Chris had his own advisory business, CA Advisors from 2001-2008, LLC where he advised operating companies as well as financial investors in media, entertainment, hospitality and leisure companies. Clients included Live Nation, Clarity Partners, GE Capital, AIG Capital, Onex Capital, Tudor Capital and the Dubai government.
Before starting his own business, Chris was the Executive Vice President and second in command at Warner Brother International Theaters, one of the leading, state of the art multiplex cinema operators in the world. His work included identifying, starting and managing businesses (most often as board member and member of management committee) in a number of countries, including China, Spain, Italy, Japan, Portugal, Taiwan, England and Germany. During his tenure, the company grew from 300 to over 1,200 screens.
Previous to Warner Brothers, Chris ran worldwide business development for the Hard Rock Café, worked in corporate finance at Bankers Trust in London, was a management consultant focused on privatizing businesses in Eastern Europe and worked in business development, corporate treasury and investor relations for Lorimar-Telepictures leading to its merger with Warner Brothers in 1989.
Chris currently resides in the Pacific Palisades with his wife Patty (Anderson '85). Their only child, Hank, graduated last year from Harvard Westlake and is currently a freshman at Rice University where he is majoring in cellular biology. Chris spends his spare time working on his travel website, flyginvips.com, playing a monthly jazz gig at the House of Blues, playing golf and walking his two golden retrievers.
