Juan Diaz-AndreuThis year's recipient, Juan Diaz-Andreu ('96), is native of Madrid, Spain who started his finance career in 1992 in Spain’s Repsol Group (Oil and Gas). After graduating from UCLA Anderson, he worked for 2 years in Banco Santander’s Corporate Banking division, 3 years in Multitel, a Telecom/Internet Private Equity Spanish firm, and 8 years in the IT company Amadeus, performing M&A, Strategy, and Commercial roles.

He received an MBA in finance and international business from the UCLA Anderson School as a Fulbright Scholar. He also has graduate studies in Harvard and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA in Business from CUNEF, Madrid, Spain.

Mr. Diaz-Andreu takes an active role in numerous associations. He is the current chapter President of the UCLA Anderson Alumni Network of Spain, President of the Fulbright Alumni Association, President and Founder of the Ryder Club Spain (an association of alumni clubs of 30+ American and European Universities), and serves in the Board of Directors of AAA CUNEF and the Board of “Spain’s Navy Reserve Officers Association”. In addition, Mr. Diaz-Andreu is a visiting professor in “Entrepreneurship” and “Information Systems” in Instituto de Empresa Business School and in CUNEF in Madrid, Spain.

He is married to Leticia Gonzalez (also a Fulbright scholar to the USA), and has two sons—Francisco, 8 years old, and Juan, 6—and a daughter—Carolina, 3.
