B. Kipling (Kip) Hagopian ('66)

B. Kipling (Kip) Hagopian co-founded and was a general partner of Brentwood Associates, one of the largest and most successful venture capital and private equity firms in the US. During his 30 year career in venture capital, Mr. Hagopian served in several industry leadership positions. In 1991, Mr. Hagopian formed Segue Productions, Inc., a theatrical motion picture production company. Mr. Hagopian is currently Managing Partner of Apple Oaks Partners LLC, a private investment firm he owns with one of the co-founders of Brentwood.
During his career, Mr. Hagopian has engaged in numerous civic activities such as service on Presidential-candidate Ronald Reagan’s “Business Advisory Panel” (and chaired the Panel’s “Committee on Capital Formation, Innovation and Productivity”); and President Reagan’s Commission on Industrial Competitiveness.
Mr. Hagopian presently serves on the Boards of Directors of Maxim Integrated Products, a publicly held semiconductor company and Thomas Weisel Partners, an investment banking firm. He is also a member of the Board of Governors of the Pardee RAND Graduate School of Public Policy and serves on the Board of Visitors and Executive Committee of UCLA’s Anderson Graduate School of Management.
Mr. Hagopian holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Design and a Master of Business Administration, both from the University of California, Los Angeles.
