Robert Frankfurt founded Myca Partners, Inc. (“Myca”) in 2006 to seek out and benefit from long term investment trends in a variety of industries.

Myca is primarily focused today on launching and investing in early stage healthy lifestyle businesses and brands including restaurants, prepared foods, consumer and skin care products, and food related programs revolving around Paleo, Primal, Atkins and other Low Carb High Quality Fat initiatives.

Mr. Frankfurt’s varied background as a principal investor, capital raiser and allocator, board member, business incubator, turnaround/restructuring manager, and investment banker enables him to effectively work with senior leadership and large shareholders of portfolio companies in order to implement an effective business strategy.

He has invested in a broad array of industries with particular focus in: consumer products, retail and restaurants, marketing and outsourcing services, payment processing, industrial manufacturing, healthcare and wellness, technology hardware/software/services, and value added distribution.

Mr. Frankfurt is a Director of Handy & Harman Ltd. (NASDAQ: HNH), a global diversified industrial products  company that manufactures and sells $700 million of engineered materials, specialty tubing, electronic materials, coated materials, precious metals, and meat room cutting products globally serving the construction, electronics, telecommunications, home appliance OEM, transportation, utility, medical, aerospace/defense, signage, and food preparation industries.

He is a former Director of Mercury Payment Systems, Inc. (majority owned by Silver Lake), a fast growing integrated transaction processing company which enhances point-of-sale systems by offering credit, debit, check, gift card and loyalty processing. Mercury Payment Systems was sold by Silver Lake to Vantiv, Inc. (NYSE: VNTV) in 2014 in a $1.65 billion transaction.

Mr. Frankfurt is a former Director of Peerless Systems Corp (NASDAQ: PRLS), a licensor of imaging and networking technologies to manufacturers of printers, copiers and multi-function devices and Puroflow, Inc. (NASDAQ: PFLW), a designer and manufacturer of industrial aerospace and automotive filtration products.

Prior to forming Myca Partners, Mr. Frankfurt spent more than a decade as a Partner and senior portfolio manager at various investment partnerships. His responsibilities included investment research and selection, risk management, deal negotiation, and working with senior managers of portfolio companies to further their strategic goals.

Mr. Frankfurt possesses broad experience in turnaround management and balance sheet restructuring both as a hands-on operator and investor/board member in a number of industries including manufacturing, database management and marketing, retail and consumer products and services, and healthcare services.

He began his career as a financial analyst in the mergers and acquisitions department of Bear, Stearns & Co. and later joined Hambro Bank America as an associate focused on small-cap merger and acquisition and venture capital transactions. 

Mr. Frankfurt graduated from the Wharton School of Business in 1987 with a B.S. in Economics and was a member of the Varsity Wrestling and Varsity Sprint Football teams.  He received his MBA at the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA in 1995 where he was a Venture Capital Fellow and served as Alumni Class President. 

In his free time, Mr. Frankfurt enjoys cooking and creating healthy food recipes and natural skin care products, trains Brazilian Jujitsu, and coaches his two sons’ basketball teams.
