Currently the President of BLITZ, an independent digital agency based in Santa Monica, Cathy has spent the past twenty years working on both the client and agency sides of marketing and advertising.
After graduating from art school in Illinois, Cathy began her career as an Art Director in Chicago and Austin, Texas. She moved to Southern California in 1994, where she held positions at Nissan North America in retail marketing, pricing and model line marketing before becoming National Advertising Manager, Infiniti Division. After earning an MBA at The John E. Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA, Cathy moved to a strategic planning role at Masterfoods, a division of candy powerhouse Mars, Inc. She then joined TBWA\Chiat\Day in 2000, where she helped lead Nissan's corporate turnaround with a succession of new vehicle launches that earned multiple Effie Awards and turned Nissan into the envy of the automotive industry. At TBWA, she established the first-ever global brand campaign for Mars' largest global brand, Pedigree, and in March of 2007, assumed Global Account Director responsibilities for Pioneer Electronics Home AV division. In 2009, Cathy was appointed President of McCann Erickson's Los Angeles office. McCann is the world's largest network of marketing service agencies with over 250 offices spanning advertising, public relations, digital marketing, brand strategy, and relationship marketing. She became President of BLITZ in 2012. Cathy lives in Pacific Palisades, California, is married and has one son. During ski season, you can often find her on the slopes.
