Sunny Choi is the Vice President of Corporate Development at Belkin International, home to the Belkin, Linksys and WeMo consumer brands. He leads the company’s global strategic planning, business development, mergers & acquisitions and research functions.

As part of Sunny’s long-term research and planning responsibilities, he led the incubation and launch of new businesses including the WeMo Smart Home brand, as well as fast-to-market entries into Android smartphone and tablet accessories. He led the acquisition and integration of Zensi, where Belkin’s WeMo water and energy sensing technology originated, as well as the Linksys networking business from Cisco Systems. He negotiated and signed strategic partnership agreements with global brands including Amazon.com, Procter & Gamble, Jarden Consumer Solutions, Osram Sylvania, HTC and Razer.

Before joining Belkin in 2004, Sunny Choi was an Alvarez & Marsal consultant. While there, he managed a team at a client organization to conduct corporate fundraising and M&A activities, which led to its sale to Pitney Bowes. Sunny also held finance and business planning roles at Wherehouse Entertainment and Warner Bros. Studios.

Sunny holds an MBA from U.C.L.A. Anderson School of Management with an emphasis on Strategy and Marketing and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics from U.C.L.A.
