Symons will be responsible for short- and long-term planning as well as execution of strategic initiatives. He brings experience and leadership to this role with previous specialization in data storage and information lifecycle management.

Symons joins Solix from Xiotech Corporation where as COO he helped elevate the business from a mid-tier storage supplier to a high-performing enterprise level storage company. Symons previous experience also includes executive level management at Yosemite Technologies, EvoStor, EMC Corporation and Legato Systems. At EMC, Symons was CTO for Information Management driving the growth of their product lines around Information Life Cycle Management.
