Leland L. Sun '86

Mr. Sun founded Pan Asian in 2001 as an innovative non-banking financial services company specializing in residential mortgage financing in Hong Kong. He was also the founder of a financial guaranty and small-loan lending Company in Chongqing.

Mr. Sun was appointed by the Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong SAR Government as the first Chief Operating Officer of the Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation (HKMC). Previously, Mr. Sun was a Senior Managing Director, Bear Stearns Asia Ltd. and an Executive Director, Goldman Sachs (Asia) Ltd.

Mr. Sun has an independent non-executive director of Chongqing Rural Commercial Bank (3618) member of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange since 2011. He is also an independent director of Mizuho Securities Asia Ltd and is Chairman of the Audit Committee.

Mr. Sun is a Vice Chairman, Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC); Honorary Treasurer and Executive Committee Member, Business and Professionals Federation of Hong Kong (BPF) and Executive Committee Member and Treasurer, Servicemen’s Guides Association (SGA), an NGO which serves U.S. and international naval personnel visiting HK. Previously, Mr. Sun was the President of The American Club in Hong Kong; past Treasurer and Board of Governor, The American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong

Mr. Sun graduated from the UCLA Anderson School of Business with a MBA (Finance) and was named as one of the 100 Most Inspirational Alumni in 2011. Mr. Sun is also a Board member of the Fink Center for Finance & Investments.

Mr. Sun was born in Hong Kong and is fluent in Putonghua.
