Dear Fellow Alumni,As the new President of the UCLA Anderson Alumni Network. I am absolutely thrilled to lead our Alumni Board (made up of Chapter Presidents, Class Presidents, and Industry and Affinity Group Chairs) as we continue to build this incredible UCLA Anderson community. We have an impressive group of alumni volunteers who work closely with the Office of Alumni Relations to improve your connections to the school and each other. But even with the great momentum that we have as an Alumni Board, we need your help! And I know what you are thinking, but, no, this is not the part where I ask you for money...yet.
You see, the UCLA Anderson Community would not be nearly as vibrant, as rich, as energetic, without you. As an alum of UCLA Anderson, you have opportunities to tap into the vast resources that our Alumni Network has to offer just about everywhere you look. To help get you started, here are some suggestions:
- Stay connected with LinkedIn and Facebook. If you're not on your class Facebook page, click here to see a listing and join. This is a great opportunity for you to learn about upcoming events, keep in touch with old classmates, post updates on news in your world, and more.
- Attend an event. Chapters around the world are hosting amazing events, and all of these events are created by other alumni with one person in mind: You! See a listing of all of the upcoming events in your area here. And sign up for your Chapter LinkedIn group here.
- Update your profile. A network is only as strong as those who participate in it. If your info isn't updated, your former classmates can't connect with you - for personal or professional communications. Updating your profile is easy by clicking right here.
- Help improve our rankings! Financial support from alumni allows for the investment in vital resources, which can lead to improved rankings. Ok, here's where I ask for money, but gently. By taking just a few minutes to make an online donation here, you can help to improve the value of the UCLA Anderson name, and your gifts will go directly toward critical investments such as providing fellowships for great students and maintaining our competitive advantage in intellectual capital.
Finally, I want to invite you all to our Worldwide Welcome Week from September 27 - October 7, 2012. That's right, we have so many events going on around the globe that we had to make that week 11 days long just to fit them all in! We are committed to ensuring that this year's Welcome Week is bigger and better than ever, so be ready for a great opportunity to reconnect with old friends, network, and welcome the Class of 2012 to your local chapter. More details on events in your specific region to come soon, so stay tuned.
If you want to get involved, or need anything, please don't hesitate to reach out to me or anyone on our Alumni Board. More information on our Board, including names and contact information, can be found here.
