This page contains information on Known Issues discovered using specific hardware and/or software inside the Anderson environment
It is not required that you purchase a laptop from any particular manufacturer. We highly recommend that students review our hardware requirements carefully before making any decisions.
Apple OS - Many of the Anderson required educational software applications and plugins are only compatible with Windows based software versions. Students using Apple laptops will need to prepare both the Windows OS and the Apple OS to use technology resources inside the classroom and labs.If you choose to bring an Apple laptop you are required to install a Windows Partition on your computer. Apple OS 10.7 will allow you to install Parallels, VMware Fusion or use the built in utility Boot Camp. Of these options we recommend the use of Apple's BootCamp.
Tablets (Apple's iPad, Samsung's Galaxy Tab, Motorola's Zoom, etc.) and Netbooks (super small laptops with limited memory, processing power and no CD/DVD drive) do not meet the minimum hardware requirements for UCLA Anderson School of Management.
