Each graduate must wear a cap and gown to participate in the commencement ceremony. Each student is responsible for pressing his/her gown and bringing it to campus on graduation day. Gowns will be collected immediately following the graduation ceremony. You may keep your cap and tassel.
Immediately following the ceremony's conclusion Graduation Etc. representatives will be at the outside of Korn Convocation Hall in the foyer to process gown and hood returns (you get to keep your cap and tassel). If you forget or simply cannot drop off your gown and hood that day, you have until Monday, December 18, 2017 by 5:00 p.m. to return them to the Graduation Etc. store. Failure to return your gown by Monday, December 18, 2017 will cause a $50 late fee and a hold to be placed on your record which will delay the release of your diploma.
Graduates may invite guests to the MFE Commencement and Reception. No tickets are required for the Commencement Ceremony. On the day of the ceremony, please instruct your guests to go directly to Korn Convocation Hall. Your guests should not come with you to the class photo session.
A ceremonial diploma holder will be presented to each graduate at the commencement ceremony. Official University of California, Los Angeles, diplomas will be available to be mailed or picked up in March 2018. Please remember to keep your contact information updated in both the Anderson Directory and MyUCLA. The UCLA Registrar’s Office will email you when your diploma is ready. Your class and individual photographs will be held at UCLA Anderson School promptly at
11:00 a.m. Please meet in the Marion Anderson Courtyard by 11:00 a.m., which is right next to
Il Tramezzino Café. It is important that everyone be on time and dressed for the photos so as not to delay commencement. Please instruct your guests to go directly to the graduation ceremony site (Korn Convocation Hall).
Your guests should not come with you to the class photos. The processional and commencement ceremony will begin at 2:00 p.m. A professional photographer will be available during the reception for family and group photos. All photos will be available for download. We will email you details on downloading the photos the week after the ceremony.
Parking is available for your guests in the underground Parking Structure 4 (P4) off of Sunset Blvd and Westwood Plaza. Guests may purchase a parking permit from the “Pay-by-Space” pay stations for $12 (CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED AT PAY STATIONS) for all-day parking.
