The Anderson Wine Club encourages social, networking, and educational events centered on a shared appreciation for wine. Through a variety of on- and off-campus events, including our annual Santa Barbara trip, quarterly Meet the Winemaker tastings and Happy Hour events, we promote wine education for personal enjoyment and professional aspirations. As one of UCLA Anderson's largest student organizations, AWC is a unique part of the Anderson experience. AWC promotes enjoyment of our classmates' company while fostering a cultural education that extends beyond the traditional MBA curriculum.
These events showcase winemakers and wines from all over the world. Members can enjoy learning about these wines on campus while getting to interact with every winemaker that comes in. Past Meet the Winemakers have included Gallo, Medoc, Fetzer, Duckhorn, and Marta Bujanda.
Sometimes a glass of wine and a smiling face is the perfect treat during the stress of school. These social events happen throughout each quarter and are a great way for members to interact and explore the local community. Past all-member socials have included day trips to Malibu Wines, local happy hours, and Wino-Nights In.
Whether you are a Sommelier or novice when it comes to wine, we host a variety of events to allow members to learn more about viniculture and the wine industry.
Good wine is meant to be shared. Therefore, every year we partner with other professional, identity and interest clubs throughout Anderson to host fun events. Past partnership events have included an annual BBQ with the Latin American Business Association (LABA), a Wine & Paint night with Anderson Creative, a beach day with the Anderson Craft Beer Club (ACBC), a 4-course dinner with Anderson Eats (AE), and a hike and picnic with Outdoor Adventure Club (OAC).
