Sanford (Sandy) Beim, EMBA 1989
Established A Foundation
The son of immigrants who instilled in him the importance of community service and giving back, Beim has been a supporter of UCLA Anderson and many other charitable organizations for decades. His ability to give back stems from his success as an entrepreneur and family tradition. The Beim Family started a small office-supply manufacturing business and grew it from 14 to 550 employees before eventually selling it to global manufacturing giant Avery Dennison. Turning their attention to philanthropy, Beim and his wife Phyllis established the Beim Family Foundation to provide charitable contributions to organizations in the areas of education, religion, the arts, health, and community service. Beim has also been a loyal supporter of UCLA Anderson, making an annual contribution to the Anderson Fund for the last 21 years.
