Nurit Katz, MBA 2008
Helping UCLA Lead in Sustainability
As UCLA's first sustainability coordinator, Katz is involved with all of the university's sustainability initiatives - from UCLA's first Climate Action Plan to Clean Tech Los Angeles, a region-wide collaboration to make LA a global hub for clean technology development. While a student at UCLA Anderson and the UCLA School of Public Affairs, Katz served as president of UCLA's Graduate Student Association and established the school's Sustainable Resource Center, transforming a small, student-run group to an important community resource. She also helped Dr. Charles Corbett launch "Leaders in Sustainability," an interdisciplinary certificate program designed to bring together graduate students from programs as diverse as management, medicine, and urban planning to problem solve and integrate sustainability into their careers.
