Jeffrey Henley, MBA 1967
Technology Industry Pioneer
In 1972, Henley moved to Silicon Valley for a position as controller of international operations at Fairchild Camera and Instrument Corp. Although he didn't know what a semiconductor was, he knew Fairchild was among the largest semiconductor companies in the world and that was enough for him. The decision proved prescient. In 1991 Henley joined Oracle and served as chief financial officer and executive vice president of the high-tech giant for the next 13 years. In 2004 Henley became chairman of Oracle Corporation. That year, he received the John E. Anderson Distinguished Alumnus Award.
